Whether you purchased this khulan bag charm, received it as a gift or discovered it at an event,
thank you!
By carrying this little khulan with you, you become part of a growing community committed to protecting one of Asia's last great wild landscapes.
The Mongolian khulan (Equus hemionus hemionus) is one
of the world's most remarkable wild equids.
Living across the vast Gobi Desert, khulan travel hundreds of kilometers in search of food and water and play an important ecological role in maintaining healthy desert ecosystems.
Khulan can dig water holes.
During dry periods, khulan dig into dry riverbeds and dry water points to reach groundwater.
These water holes are then used by many other wildlife species, making the khulan an important contributor to life in the Gobi.
