We work alongside local herders and communities to protect wildlife, strengthen traditional knowledge, and ensure that conservation benefits both nature and people.
Every contribution goes to the Khulan Conservation Fund — supporting community-led biodiversity monitoring, protecting critical water sources, and building local conservation leadership in the Gobi.
Every contribution helps strengthen community partnerships, protect water points and rangelands, support local herders monitors biodiversity and take direct conservation actions, and sustain science-based and community-led conservation.
All contributions are tracked and reported annually in our public reports. We maintain full transparency in how funds are used.
Our Funding priorities for 2026:
Each funding level directly advances our goal of building a connected, informed, and empowered network of Gobi herders and community members protecting key habitats and resources for khulans and other Gobi wildlife: for people and wildlife.
Currently: 1 community & 1 herder actively leading monitoring work.

As a small, mission-driven organisation, we choose to invest our resources directly into conservation where they matter most. Rather than mass-produced merchandise, we offer a small number of carefully chosen gifts when they meaningfully reflect our work and Mongolian culture. At times, these take the form of field-based materials — stories, images, or insights from the Gobi itself — offering supporters a more authentic connection to the landscapes and wildlife they help protect.
Your donation goes first and foremost to conservation action, research, and local partnerships, ensuring that every contribution makes a real difference.
