About our conservation tourism program

By travelling with our scientific team in the Gobi Desert, following the tracks of the Mongolian khulans and other Gobi species, you will be take part of a lifetime experience which will contribute to conservation of the Gobi Desert ecosystem. 


--> Our expeditions are guided by our organization's scientific experts or local experts working with us. 


--> Our expeditions contribute to protection of endangered Gobi wildlife and their habitat but also support the local community of our study area. 


--> We are the only organization in Mongolia to lead this type of expedition in the Gobi Desert to help enhance protection of the Mongolian khulan and its habitat. 


The different options of expeditions

Option 1. Conservation and citizen science in the Gobi for 12 days / without much comfort  


This expedition will be essentially organized in our study area as well as in a few natural reserves where species other than the one from our study area could be observed. Lodging will be essentially lin tents during the whole expedition, with few nights in provincial hotels or camps of yourtes when travelling in the countryside, and travelling will be in russian mini-van.

Option 2. Conservation and citien science in the Gobi for 14 days / with comfort 


This expedition will be organized in our study area with most of the nights spent in provincial hotels or camps of yurtes, and few nights in tents, as well as all travelling in Land Rover 4*4 to offer you much comfort on the bumpy dirt roads of the Gobi Desert. 

Option 3 Behavioral observations of Mongolian wild Equids.

Content of our expeditions and rules

  • During each expedition you will be able to observe a variety of wild species (many of them are today endangered) such as: black-tailed gazelle, Mongolian gazelle, Mongolian wild ass/onager//khulan, wild Argali sheep, Ibex/wild goat, Corsac fox, Cinereous vulture, Steppe eagle and many others ... and you will be also able to discover unique and amazing landscapes of a region which is not well known by international travellers,
  • You will also directly support conservation of the Mongolian wild khulan by taking part of a selection of scientific and conservation activities from our conservation program, 
  • Each group will be limited to 8 people maximum in order to avoid any negative impact on wildlife and their habitat, 
  • During each expedition we will all follow a very clear and specific guideline in order to reduce and limit our impact on wildife and their habitat. This guideline will be communicated once you have booked your trip with us.
