The Mongolian Khulan (Equus hemionus hemionus) also known as "Mongolian Wild Ass" is a wild Equid which is still not well known internationally while endangered. It is one of the 5 recognized sub-species of the Asiatic Wild Ass and the largest population of this species in the world. The species is listed as "Endangered" in the IUCN Red List, the Mongolian Khulan is listed in Appendix I of the CITES and in Appendix II of the CMS.
The Association GOVIIN KHULAN works since 2008 to protect the endangered Mongolian Khulan and its habitat, in the southeast Gobi (Mongolia), in partnership with local rangers and communities. The Association GOVIIN KHULAN is a french non-profit organization which is mainly dedicated to Mongolian Khulan conservation.
Our organization is an independant organization. Its functionning mainly depends on donations (from France, Mongolia and worldwide), on financial-material-technical support from some french and international businesses (some of them are members of the 1% for the Planet) and organizations, and some grants from private organizations (unpredictable; subject of an increasing competition).
L'hémione de Mongolie ou "Khulan" (Equus hemionus hemionus) ou "âne sauvage de Mongolie", est un Equidé sauvage très peu connu internationalement bien que menacé de disparition. Il représente l'une des 5 sous-espèces de l'hémione d'Asie et en représente la plus large population au monde. L'espèce est enregistrée comme "en danger" dans le Liste Rouge de l'UICN, et le Khulan est enregistré en Appendice I de la CITES et en Appendice II de la CMS.
L'association GOVIIN KHULAN travaille depuis 2008 pour
la protection de l'hémione de Mongolie et de son habitat, dans le sud-est Gobi (Mongolie), en partenariat étroit avec les rangers et communautés locales. L'association GOVIIN KHULAN est une
association française à but non-lucratif principalement dédiée à la conservation de cet Equidé sauvage.
Notre association est entièrement indépendante. Son fonctionnement dépend de la générosité des donateurs (France, Mongolie et monde entier), du soutien financier-matériel-technique d'entreprises
(dont des entreprises membres du 1% pour la Planète) et d'associations,
ainsi que de subventions d'organismes privés (imprévisible et soumis à une grande compétition).
